Kootai 9616 is a room-temperature-curing, dual-component silicone formulated for high-performance encapsulation of electronic assemblies. The compound cures into a durable rubber elastomer with minimal shrinkage and no exothermic reaction, offering outstanding thermal conductivity (1.6–1.8 W/m·K) and electrical insulation.
It provides a wide operating temperature range of -50°C to +200°C and adheres well to a variety of substrates such as PC, ABS, Epoxy—without the need for primers. Its excellent moisture-, shock-, and weather-resistance, along with RoHS compliance and non-corrosiveness, make it a reliable choice for mission-critical electronics.

Q1: What is the mixing ratio for 9616?
A: Mix Part A and Part B in a 1:1 weight ratio. Stir Part A and shake Part B well before combining.
Q2: Is degassing necessary?
A: Natural defoaming usually suffices for potting depths <10 mm. For thicker applications, vacuum degassing (70 mmHg for at least 3 minutes) is recommended.
Q3: What is the curing time?
A: Surface dry in 30–90 minutes at 25°C. Full cure in ≤24 hours, faster with heat: 30 min at 80°C, 20 min at 100°C.
Q4: What are its electrical properties?
A: Dielectric strength of 10 kV/mm, volume resistivity ≥1.0×10¹⁴ Ω·cm, dielectric constant of 3 at 60Hz.
Q5: Can it be used without a primer?
A: Yes, it adheres well to most materials without primer, though surface cleaning is recommended.
